About our care
What is non-medical home care?
Non-medical home care is help with everyday life at home: personal care, companionship, housekeeping, meals, errands and rides. It does not include nursing, injections, wound care or other skilled medical services.
Do you provide medical or nursing care?
No. Sidekicks Care provides non-medical home care services. We do not provide skilled nursing or medical services unless otherwise licensed. Your loved one's doctors and nurses remain in charge of their medical care.
What services do you offer?
Six services that can be combined in one care plan:
- Personal care assistance
- Companion care
- Homemaking and household support
- Transportation and errands
- Respite care for families
- Post-hospital recovery care
Who do you care for?
Seniors and adults, including people living with a disability or health challenge, people recovering after a hospital stay or surgery, and families who need respite from caregiving.
Can you help after a hospital stay or surgery?
Yes. Our post-hospital recovery care includes mobility support, meal preparation, medication reminders and rides to follow-up appointments. Short-term schedules are welcome.
Can caregivers help with medication?
Caregivers can remind your loved one to take medication on schedule. Because our services are non-medical, caregivers do not perform nursing tasks.
Getting started
How do we get started?
Call (941) 237-0211 or send the request form. A care coordinator will reach out to schedule your free consultation.
What happens during the free consultation?
We talk about your loved one's needs, daily routines, schedule and preferences, answer your questions and recommend a personalized care plan. There is no cost and no obligation.
How quickly can care start?
Care can start quickly once your consultation and care plan are complete, depending on caregiver availability.
Can I request care for a parent or another family member?
Yes. Many requests come from adult children, spouses and other relatives. We'll include your loved one in the conversation so their wishes guide the plan.

How many hours of care can we schedule?
Anywhere from a few hours a week to full-day support.
Can the schedule change later?

How do you choose the right caregiver?
We match caregivers based on your loved one's needs, schedule and personality, so the relationship feels comfortable from the first visit.
Can our family stay involved in the care?
